Multidirectional shoulder instability (AMBRII) – initial conservative program
Multidirectional shoulder instability, the key component is lower shoulder instability combined with anterior or posterior instability. General glenohumeral joint looseness leads to shoulder dislocation in everyday activities.
Joint functionality and stability is regained through conservative, nonoperative treatment using progressive strength exercises for rotator cuff and upper arm muscles . If there is no progress even after 6 months of nonoperative treatment then an operative approach is suggested to regain shoulder stability, ie. fixate the shoulder by putting anchors in it that will hold it together.
