BIOCHIP - KNEE REHABILITATION PROTOCOL (ACUTE PHASE: 1. - 6. WEEK)

This protocol is intended for use in patients who have had cartilage reconstruction procedure on their knees. The surgical procedure involves use of the nasal chondrocytes based constructs. The protocol is designed to follow the need of a very specific rehabilitation scheme. During the course of 6 weeks the patient is not allowed to bear weight more 10-15kg.

Equipment needed:  crutches, brace, fitball roller, swiss ball, CPM (e.g. Kinetek), cold compression therapy system (e.g. Game Ready), leg weight, stationary bicycle, small pilates ball, electric stimulation device (optional)
